The Tri-County Alternative Energy & Visitor Center (Visitor Center) is a 503c organization strategically located to overlook the wind tower farms on all sides of the historic town of King City, Missouri. From the upstairs observation windows, one can view the wind towers to the east, northwest and south of this small, progressive community. Guided tours are available, as well as space for special events, including business meetings, tour groups, school field trips, weddings and concerts. All areas are ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible.
As a 503c designated charity, donations gifted to the Visitor Center are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Being a self-supported facility, donations are always welcome and many opportunities exist to help further our education outreach as well as general upkeep for the facility.
Donations can be mailed to PO Box 615, King City MO 64463. Please make payable to Tri-County Alternative Energy Education & Visitor Center. Thank you for your support!
A perfect venue for school field trips and day trips, the Interactive Education Center on the upper level of the Visitor Center has something for all ages and boasts many different educational displays that highlight various types of alternative energy sources. Attention Teachers: Now is the time to think about a Spring field trip! We would love to host your students in the Interactive Education Center.
